Are you a sports car junkyard or salvage yard?
No. When we dismantle sports cars, we are one step above the junkyard. Meaning, we recycle all of the useful items (selling most of them on eBay) and send the car shell to the salvage yard. We do not have a storefront (aside from eBay USA) and we don't have a junkyard where customers can buy salvage sports cars or pull parts off. We're kind of like Pick A Part, except we do the picking. Sometimes, we fix up running cars and sell them after restoring them.
I want to buy this - can I pick this up from you?
Local pickup at our garage in Northeast Ohio is available for most of our items. For some large, fragile, and/or heavy items, picking up your item directly from us is the most cost-effective method. Other times, an item exceeds weight or size limits of our typical shipping services and is only offered via local pickup. Sometimes, we have an item for sale that is local to us, but not located at our shop. Please contact Sports Car Salvage to set up an appointment.
May I see more pictures of your item?
Of course! Additional pictures are always available upon request. Please contact us with what you need.
What are your hours?
We at Sports Car Salvage can be reached online at any time, including evenings and weekends. We do our best to contact customers within one business day. Hours are by appointment only - we do not have a retail storefront.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal, cash, and postal money orders.
I don't see the item I want in your eBay store. Where can I find it?
Feel free to ask us. Sometimes, we have an item available for sale that has not yet been removed, photographed, or listed on eBay Motors. We can always keep an eye out for hard-to-find items if we know you are looking for them. We partner with other automotive companies in the area and other eBay salvage car sellers online to locate valuable items.
Other times, you may have seen an item we had listed on eBay Motors that did not sell, but has not been relisted. Please contact us if you are interested..
Where is my item?
We send out all our packages via a trackable shipping method - USPS, FedEx, Greyhound, and others. If you purchase an item from eBay, you can track your package from the tracking number that comes in the confirmation email to you. Our packages are shipped with delivery confirmation, and those shipped through FedEx require a direct signature. If you are not able to sign for a package, or if you request the Postal Service to hold your mail, your package may be at your local post office or FedEx terminal. Please note that handling time can take up 1 to 5 business days. We recommend that you save your tracking number until you receive your package.
There is a problem with my eBay item. Can I get a replacement or a refund?
We at Sports Car Salvage want you to be happy with your eBay purchase. Please contact us as soon as possible if there is a problem, rather than leaving negative feedback. If possible, contact us within a week of receiving your item to resolve any issues. If your package is damaged in transit, please contact us. Please be aware that you may have to provide additional information (pictures, etc.) to us or to the shipping provider to process insurance claims.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We do not reimburse for return shipping. Our standard procedure is to supply you with a refund or a replacement item ONLY AFTER we have received the original item back via a trackable shipping service. Please allow 5 business days after the receipt of your return item to process your refund or replacement. If you think you should have gotten your refund/replacement by now and it has not arrived, please contact Sports Car Salvage for assistance.
I live outside the United States. Will you ship this eBay item to me?
Most eBay items featured by Sports Car Salvage can be shipped overseas to any country. Some items cannot be shipped due to weight and/or size. FedEx, USPS, and UPS all have different maximum size and weight limits. Please contact us with a shipping quote if you are interested, preferably BEFORE buying. Some items cannot be shipped overseas, and others are cost-prohibitive to ship out of the United States.
I bought more than one eBay item from you. Can I combine shipping?
In most cases, yes, we can combine shipping for you. If you buy an eBay iitem and plan to buy more in the next day or two, send us a note so that we know to send the items together. Combining shipping can be very cost-effective for you.
I see that the proceeds from some of your eBay Motors items go to the Yellow Ribbon Fund. What is it?
The Yellow Ribbon Fund was founded in 2005 to aid wounded service members and their families. This organization contributes taxi rides, hotel room stays, tickets to sporting events, and more.
